A Chicago health care staffing franchise plans to open six locations in North Carolina this year, including two in the Triad.
BrightStar Healthcare provides medical and nonmedical home health care staff as well as supplemental staffing for corporate clients.
BrightStar, which now has five locations, formed a franchising division in January 2005 and is targeting 10 states, including North Carolina, for expansion. The company hopes to open franchise locations in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, as well as other North Carolina cities.
"The health care industry in North Carolina is growing rapidly," Shelly Sun, founder and president of BrightStar said in a news release. "BrightStar is at the forefront of the movement, setting industry standards as a growing national franchise that is providing every level of care for aging adults, as well as anyone in need of assistance."
